Jan Erasmus

Jan Erasmus grew up in Kroonstad, South Africa. From an early age he was interested in art and design. He studied graphic design at Johannesburg Technikon and continued his studies at Philadelphia College of Art.
He worked as a graphic designer before co-founding Johannesburg based Pinpoint Graphics. Jan launched his own graphic design studio CyberGraphics, in 1990.
Jan has won many accolades during his career including DTP Today Challenge Awards, Wiggins Teape Awards, a Golden Clio Award, John Dodds Challenge Shields, Neenah Paper Awards, a Pica Award, Loerie award, Macmanus Awards, Art of Design - First paper House Awards, CMYK Magazine Award and a MacTalk Magazine award.
Jan is one of South Africa’s foremost communication designers and educators. It therefore comes as no surprise then that a book written by him about his viewpoints on communication design, accompanied by select pieces from his life’s work is in itself a communication masterpiece.
